Julie and I began the business after building our own log home in 1987. We both grew up in the area and have been blessed with four beautiful daughters.  I graduated from the carpentry program at Great Oaks institute in 1976 and in 1993 I left my job as a Superintendent in the Ohio Valley Carpenters Union and built log homes full time for 14 years.  We have built close to 100 log and custom homes in the TriState area.

As of December 2006 I decided to return to the Carpentar's Union due to a slow down in the building business.  I will continue as a sales representative for Southland Log Homes and  helping  my customers build their  home.  I have access to what I believe are some of the best subcontractors in the Tristate area and to many general contractors.  I hope to eventually return to building log homes full time. 

We pride ourselves on personal service and making the dream of owning a custom home come true for our clients. This includes giving our customers a realistic cost estimate so that they do not commit to a home they cannot afford. We have converted our garage into an office and hold several meetings to find out exactly what the customers want in their new home.  For those that are interested in building a log home, we hold monthly open houses.

Our mission is to run our business in a manner that will honor our family and reputation. To help our customers build a quality  home they can be proud of and enjoy for many years to come.
